This Superb Bangle is in remarkable condition and typifies the
Victorian penchant for astral symbols and Bohemian Gems
The Blood-Red (Pomegranate) variety of Garnet
(Known as Pyrope) was found prolifically in Bohemia,
Now more widely referred to as the Czech Republic.
Cut with a faceted domed top and flat base
Similar to the 16th Century Rose Cut used on Diamonds,
Bohemian Garnet jewelry was highly fashionable
During the mid to late 19th
Century and now Very collectable
The bracelet opens with a push button and has a nice firm clasp that snaps with closure.
