This 3 coin proof set was minted in limited edition by The Franklin Mint of U.S. under the authorization of Bank Negara Malaysia on 15 October 1981.
This proof set consists denominations of 1 , 20 and 500 Ringgit. The 1 Ringgit was minted in Copper-Nickel , 20 Ringgit
was minted in silver
and 500 Ringgit coin was minted in gold (10.26g of 0.900).
They were sold exclusively to employees of Bank Negara Malaysia.
This proof set of Malaysian Coinage comes  with official certificate of authenticity. According to World coins catalog, no more than 3,000 sets were issued by Bank Negara Malaysia.
