Lovely American Victorian 10k Gold Hand Engraved Slide Bracelet Ivy Leaf Design

Presented is a fantastic American Victorian 10 karat gold slide bracelet. This
piece dates to around the 1850s-1880s. The portion of the bracelet where the
chain slides through is an oval medallion, finely hand engraved with a design of
ivy leaves, against a stippled texture background. The little rectangular slider
and the end piece are likely finely engraved and textured. The end of the
bracelet has seven little chain tassels, each with a little gold bead at the
end, giving the bracelet an attractive, eye-catching movement when worn.
This piece is in great condition. The slide portion works nicely and slides
well. The tassels are all intact. The details of the engraved designs are nice
and crisp. The chain has no kinks. There are no breaks and no repairs.
This piece is not stamped or hallmarked, but we have tested it with nitric
acid and guarantee it to be 10 karat gold.
The bracelet is very adjustable, due to the nature of its design. Adjusted to
the largest size, the bracelet will fit a wrist of about 8 1/4 inches in
circumference. The slider allows the bracelet to be adjusted down to a very
small size, smaller than a person could wear. The bracelet does not 'unhook' so
it must be slipped on over the hand.
The bracelet weighs 20.7 grams.
