Description
Up for bid is a set of 2 vintage metal figures, griffin and snake bird, made by Ral Partha in 1977. Neither figure was ever painted. Right about the time my brother and I were getting out of the hobby Dungeons & Dragons was coming into prominence. It's possible these are early figures from that line.Back in the early 1970's a shop called The Fusilier opened in my home town of Riverside, California. It was owned by a gentleman named Bud (I have forgotten his last name) and he sold small metal figures for painting. My brother and I soon fell in love with the hobby and would ride our bikes to the shop (allowance in pocket) to buy what looked cool to a 10 year old. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that I was no artist but I kept trying and collecting figures. Recently my mom gave me a box of my figures, most covered in layers of paint, that I thought had been long disposed off. I carefully, using non toxic paint remover, removed the majority of the paint from the painted figures. I then shot a thin coat of Tamiya's fine surface primer on each one. If the listing is for a figure that I never painted it will be indicated.
I try to be as honest and detailed (both written and photographic) in my description of any item(s) I list on eBay but, with that said, if you have ANY questions concerning this item(s) PLEASE ask me BEFORE the auction is closed. Also, I'm listing this item(s) with a low starting price, no reserve, and the cheapest shipping that will still insure a safe delivery. I do accept returns but there needs to be a clear and obvious difference in the item(s) you are high bidder on and the same item(s) you receive in order for me to accept a return. Buyers remorse will NOT be accepted as a reason for returning an item(s). And last, I've been selling on eBay for 15+ years, I have 100% positive feedback, and I encourage you to checkout the glowing comments from my satisfied customers. Thank you and good bidding.
