Art Deco JFSS John F. Sturdy Gold Filled Hinged Bangle Bracelet Rhinestones GF

Here we have an exciting piece of jewelry. It is very exciting to hold it in my hand. It is in such beautiful condition like it sat in a drawer for 90 years. I really could not get a picture to do it justice and please pardon the camera glare. There is very little scuffing on this or scratches and it is in beautiful condition. There are seven little rhinestones on it and I had to replace one because it was missing. The place where the rhinestones are put have the little etched star pattern around it which makes it look like they are stars glistening. Either they have deadened over the years because they are all looking like black diamond stones which dead crystal stones do look like. or they were black diamond stones originally. I have replaced it with the identically sized pointed back crystal rhinestone and it does stand out …see pictures. If you wanted to replace it yourself it would be easy for you to do. It is so shiny and beautiful that I find it hard to believe that it is so old. Specifics as follows… 35.3 g weight approximately. It is .63 inches wide. The walls are domed so it has a very thick effect. The inner diameter is approximately 2 1/2“ x 2.25“. The clasp works perfectly. On the very thin strip once you open it up it is marked STURDY 1/20 12k GF. J. F. As I said before this is in gorgeous condition and the only problem was a replaced stone which I don’t consider to be a problem much.… this is thought to be from about 1930 based on a sturdy collector. Sturdy’s Sons Company was established in 1865 by the late John F. Sturdy. For many years the firm was noted for its chains, but in recent years, the bracelet has displaced chains in the importance of the company’s production.
