This gorgeous Victorian Bracelet was made c.1870-80, combining Etruscan revival motifs such as granulation and circles, with the Celtic Love Knot. The design can be seen in an antique Victorian jewelry catalog (photo 8)
It is well designed in 14K yellow gold (unmarked but acid tested). The Etruscan jewelry were made in 21-24K gold. The maker of this bracelet, who wanted to give it as much resemblance to the ancient jewelry also added a coat of 22K gold over it all. This gives the bracelet a real stand-out presence, sure to get attraction ;-)
The central Love Knot is set with a round (Old European Cut) sparkling diamond, G-H in color, SI1 clarity (eye clean), surrounded with 8 seed pearls.
Central Love Knot diameter is 0.75" (19mm)
The links graduate to the smallest one near the clasp at approx. 0.25" (6mm)
Very good-excellent condition, with only minor signs of wear commemorate with age and use. Please see photos. There is no safety chain. I never added one since the clasp locks firmly, but one can easily be added as the hoops are there.
Bracelet weight: 10.7 grams.
Bracelet wrist size: 8" (20.3cm) when closed. If your wrist is smaller, a competent jeweler can easily remove links…
