ANTIQUE OLD RUSTIC BARN DOOR HAND FORGED HINGES W/ IRON PINS 19TH CENTURY

Fantastic door from the mid-19th Century! It was original to an 1862 bank barn that was reclaimed in Springfield, Ohio. The door is well made, but has some splits in the wood that add to its rustic appeal. None of these items are perfect after being used for over 150 years. The brown/gray old growth wood will display wonderfully in a house or outbuilding. The surfaces are completely original; the same texture and feel of the grain that this lumber had over a century ago. The door is almost square, measuring approx. 40" x 44", and is approx 2" thick.
Attached to the door are 2 original hand-forged strap hinges, measuring 16" in length each. Also, rarely included with the door, are the original, matching hand-forged iron pins that the hinges rest in. These pins can still be used to hinge the door on!
Please take a look at all of the photos to see the great quality of this door. Rarely are such old items found so complete, with the original strap hinges and pins. The hours of craftsmanship that produced such a sturdy product have stood the test of time. You do not see this level of quality and patina on newer lumber. A truly one-of-a kind rustic barn door.

All of this reclaimed wood is original, old growth lumber, with most of it being 200-400 years old. They make unique, beautiful architectural accents in houses and outbuildings.
