  • Condition: these are very large and measurements are approximate give or take a 1/4" or less either way depending on how you may measure these. Sold as a pair with one good one with the wheel sliding back and forth with ease and the other with the wheel that sticks and needs help by hand to roll all the way over and back and forth. There is a very slight bow or bend to the upper Horseshoe Frame and middle bar on this one that the wheel pin rests on. this same hinge has a small dent to opposite side curved bottom case near corner as shown in photo. both have oxidation and rust and pitting to iron. being sold as is as found for parts / repair / or restoration. please view all pics and read full description.

    Description

    here is a matching set of large Antique Cast Iron Horseshoe Barn Door Roller Hinges hand picked from the estate of the Old Mathewson Farm in Johnston, Rhode Island. These old used Barn Door Roller Hinges measure APPROXIMATELY 12 1/4" tall x 11 5/8" across with a 5" wheel on them. Thickness of Horseshoe is 1/4". Weight of each is 7.2 Lbs. or 14.5 Lbs together. This pair is being sold as is as found for Parts / Repair / or Restoration. One Wheel still rolls nice from end to end with no help and the other wheel does roll but gets stuck and needs help by hand to roll it all the way over back and forth. the top frame and upper bar on this particular one has a very slight bow or bend to it which may be causing this issue. This is the one photographed with heavier rust and pitting and a small dent to backside lower curved shell casing shown in photo. both have oxidation, rust and pitting to cast iron. please view all pics and read full item condition.
