Bracelet Size: 7 1/2 inch long (19 cm)
Each panel 1 in long x 3/4 in tall (2.54 x 1.9 cm)
In the 17th and 18th century, the Grand Tour was a rite of passage, undertaken by wealthy young aristocrats to complete their classical and artistic education. The custom of making a lengthy procession through the great cities, museums, and castles of Europe continued well into the Victorian period and beyond.
Our bracelet comes through a family with connection to the Mosel area; the castles, abbeys, great vistas, and rivers could be on the Rhine or the Main River. Scenes show features familiar to visitors to Frankfurt and Heidelberg.
Astonishing detail, fantastic condition. Painting is fresh, silver frames solid, no scratches or chips to painted panels.
