A complete & operating American Flyer No. 799 Talking Union Station - 1955-1956

This is American Flyer No. 799 Talking Union Station that is complete and has been overhauled and works well. The unit is complete and original except for a reproduction flag and a reproduction cardboard tube for the end of the speaker. The 799 was the second generation of the talking station after the war and replaced the 755A. The 799 was introduced in 1954 and was painted the cream color and had the same record as the 755A. In 1955 the building was cream plastic and came with a new record that had steam on one side and diesel on the other. So this one I will date to the 1955 or 1956 time frame. What you see in the pictures is what you get. The three maroon pieces are original as is the clock. The green roof is much nicer than most that you see, but there is some spotting of rust on the two ventilators. There is very little of the glue/gunk that seems to collect around the windows. The sale includes the original button with no solder on the clips on the underside. No instructions, but I can include a copy of the instructions upon request of the buyer. I'll grade this one at C-7. This one is better than many you see. A wonderful accessory for any American Flyer lay-out or even a Lionel or Marx lay-out. There is a lot of action here for your lay-out that you are getting extra time to play with during this time. Don't let this one get away. Have fun bidding on this item. WMF.

Train Shows are Returning!! I will be back on the road for only the second time in 18 months on August 8 for the DuPage County Fairgrounds show near Chicago and the next weekend I will be in Dayton, Ohio for a Great Train Expo Show on Aug. 14-15. I will be doing more shows in the fall and winter as dates are confirmed. I hope to see many of you on the train show circuit. During the season I do various trains shows in the Midwest including the monthly Great Midwest Train Show at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Chicago as well as the two TCA Shows in York, PA along with some Great Train Shows. If you feel that our paths are going to cross at one of these shows and you want the trains hand-delivered that would be fine to help you save on postage. Still, pay for the item at the time of purchase here on Ebay, but no postage costs.
