PAIR Antique / Vintage Richards & Wilcox Barn Door Rollers, 542A, ORIGINAL PAINT, 9" Long X 4" Wide
1 PAIR of Antique / Vintage Richards & Wilcox Barn or FIRE Door Rollers, 542A, ORIGINAL PAINT,
9" Long X 4" Widest Point
Used in the basement of a large department store these retain a lot of the
O
riginal Black Paint & have just mild surface rust
on the unpainted surfaces from dampness, not weathering I did not clean them off wit 0000 steel wool, that would help.
These are as they came off the FIRE DOORS outside of a light cleaning described above.
The upper wheel has bearings, bottom wheel does not.
The large wheels may have some flat spots or nicks on the edges...
this was mainly in the casting in each one as there is original paint
on some areas of the edge & it should not effect how they work.
This pair may have each wheel showing a small chip or flat spot in the casting...

Use as they are or do some more cleanings...the flash makes them look like they
have more rust than they do in natural light,
photos on lighter wood shows them outside in natural full sunlight.
They should clean up nicely with steel wool or on a buffer with a very fine grit on unpainted areas
or can be repainted if you like.
I believe they took 5/16" to maybe 3/8" diameter bolts.

barn conversion to house project that did not happen...
I bought the best quality I could get for my needs.
You can hang a couple inch thick door from this & move it easily if done right.
Our barn door was about 12' Long x 7' High & 2"+  Thick & I opened it myself as a small child with good hangers.
Great for Lofts, Barns, Garages even cabinets or anywhere you want a
good looking long lasting ANTIQUE hanger for your door.
I could not pick up the FIRE DOOR by myself these were mountrd to.
I HAVE ANOTHER PAIR THAT MATCHES THESE IN A DIFFERENT AUCTION...
THEY ARE THE LAST 2 Pr. OF THIS TYPE I HAVE
